Modern Times
Modern Times was the first Charlie Chaplin movie I ever watched, I really liked the film it has a lot of message to it. As we broke down the film Chaplin was really ahead of his time and knew how to connect with the people through his films. In the movie he was an optimistic character and always found a way of making things better. I also liked the way he portrayed one of his own life problems in the movie, which was when the police arrested him for being "communist". I just really liked the way Chaplin must have made people smile in his movie. I know I cant fully relate to what is happening in the movie but the way he acts it out makes you feel connected to it. I really liked this first film and makes me want to watch more of his movies and break them down.

Glad you enjoyed it. I understand what you mean when you say you "can't fully relate" because the movie was made quite a long time ago, but you seem to have picked up on a lot of points anyway! Well done!
